About the Role

As a Senior Java Engineer, you will play a key role in building and maintaining the backend systems that power our innovative food service solutions. You’ll contribute to our point-of-sale backend system and its APIs and our payment infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with cloud services and autonomous technologies.

Your Daily Business

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Java-based backend services using the Spring Boot framework.
Architect scalable, resilient, and high-performance microservices solutions for real-time applications.
Work on projects such as order terminals, point-of-sale systems, and payment infrastructure, ensuring secure and efficient transaction flows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver backend services that integrate with cloud-based systems and hardware.
Ensure efficient cloud integration with a focus on scalability, security, and high availability.
Contribute to infrastructure decisions, ensuring best practices for cloud deployment, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Base Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of professional Java development experience, with expertise in Spring Boot and microservices.
Proven experience in designing and maintaining backend systems for applications like order management, POS, or payment systems.
Experience with cloud integration (preferably AWS) and infrastructure scaling.
Familiarity with PostgreSQL databases and DevOps tools such as Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent communication skills, with experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
Plus: Experience with payment infrastructure, payment flows, and third-party payment provider integration.
