About the Role

As the VP of Business Development (f/m/d) for our franchise system development, you will have a pivotal role in building and developing a new sales & development team from the ground up. This team will focus on sourcing, onboarding, and managing strategic partnerships, as well as exploring new sales channels and business development opportunities on a global scale. You will work together with our Executive team to define strategies, establish processes, and drive revenue growth in this exciting sector. This position report directly into our Co-Founder & CCO. 

Your Daily Business
  • Build and Lead Sales Team: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team focused on sourcing, onboarding, and managing strategic partnerships for our franchise system.

  • Sourcing and Onboarding: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with potential franchisees, guiding them through the onboarding process to ensure a seamless experience.

  • Develop New Sales Channels: Explore and establish new sales channels to expand our reach and market penetration globally. 

  • Business Development: Continually assess market trends and competitive landscapes to identify new business development opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.

  • Drive Revenue Growth: Develop and implement sales plans to meet or exceed revenue targets by leveraging strategic partnerships and new sales channels.

  • Create Sales Collateral: Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to develop compelling sales presentations, materials, and proposals tailored to various sales channels and partnership opportunities.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential franchise markets, new sales channels, and emerging trends to inform sales strategies.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product development, operations, and marketing teams to align sales efforts with product roadmap, operational capabilities, and brand messaging.

Base Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive sales experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally within the franchise or food service industry.

  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling sales teams, achieving revenue targets, and establishing strategic partnerships.

  • Ability to develop and execute sales strategies, with a keen understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and emerging sales channels.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster relationships with diverse stakeholders, potential franchisees, strategic partners, and industry contacts.

  • Proficient in data analysis and using insights to drive decision-making and optimize sales performance.

  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to quickly pivot strategies based on market feedback.
