About the Role

As a QA Engineer with a focus on consumer technology at Circus, you will play a vital role in delivering a high standard of quality and reliability in our customer-facing mobile applications. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary agile teams to deliver exceptional consumer experiences through innovative technology.

Your Daily Business

Work closely with the Consumer Tech development team to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality mobile features and projects.
Create, maintain and execute effective test plans and test cases.
Implement and maintain automated mobile end-to-end (E2E) test cases, to give quick feedback on the functionality of our consumer applications.
Help train peers in how to write automated mobile E2E test cases, making use of industry best practices.
Participate actively in ceremonies such as ticket refinements, daily stand-ups and retrospectives, contributing QA insights to the delivery of consumer-focused features.
Clearly document and track software issues and enhancements through Jira, prioritising with the development team and championing continuous improvement.
Collaborate across Engineering, Product, Data, and Marketing teams to improve overall software and process quality, and customer experience.
Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging consumer technologies, and QA trends to enhance Circus' testing methodologies and capabilities.
Foster a culture of consumer-centric innovation and excellence within the organization, emphasizing the importance of rigorous testing and continuous improvement.

Base Qualifications

Proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar test role, preferably in a consumer tech environment.
At least 2 years of experience in mobile testing, with a solid understanding of mobile development processes and mobile operating systems (iOS + Android).
Experience working with mobile automated E2E testing frameworks (e.g., Appium, Espresso, XCUITest or Flutter integration_test).
Proficiency in agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail and a focus on delivering consumer value.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including non-technical stakeholders.
Proactive mindset with a passion for learning and staying updated on emerging consumer technologies and industry trends.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving priorities and challenges.
Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus.
